We've passed 100 days as First Graders!

Wow!  Can you believe we have already had 100 days of learning in first grade...

We have just celebrated the 100th day of school with lots of fun centered around the number one hundred and working with partners.  As we move into the last half of the year we will continue to build upon skills that we have been working on all year and learn lots more!

We have finished our informational books and are ready to share them with the world.  We are inviting parents to come in on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 @ 1:15-1:45pm to see our work and celebrate with us.

Please be sure to read each night and remind your child to bring their book baggie to school every day.

Each day our daily activities are recorded on Class Dojo.  Please check in with us there for pictures, videos, and messages.

Some Fun We Have Had So Far!

Dear First Grade Families,

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR STUDENT TO SCHOOL WITH A SMALL SNACK EVERY DAY.

Also, be sure they return their BOOK BAGGIE EVERY DAY!

These first few months have been full of learning, getting to know each other, having fun, and making new friends!

Our class has adopted ClassDojo.  ClassDojo is a digital tool where teachers can share messages, daily check-ins, and pictures/videos of what your students are working on.  Please be sure to log on and see what we have been up to.

Few Reminders and Notices

Please remember to send your student to school with a healthy snack each day.  This may include up to 2 small food items and a drink.

I will be attaching a paper into each student's homework folder that describes the chart we use in class.  The students will color in the calendar in their assignment notebook to match the color they earned that day.  Somehow I did not make enough copies, so please be patient if you don't see one in there yet.

PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN ANY PAPERWORK THAT HAS GONE HOME SO FAR.

Welcome Back!

Welcome to Mrs. Chandler's First Grade,

The first graders are working hard to learn new routines and getting used to being in school again.

Please be sure to return any paperwork that needed to be signed and returned to school.  Most of this went home in a large envelope the first week of school.

Each day in first grade we will need our book baggie, so please help remind your student to return this every day.
We will also have a small snack each morning.  Please send in no more than 2 food items and a drink for snack.

Your student will come home each night with a folder with notices and their assignment notebook inside.  Please be sure to check here each night to see assignments, completed work, and the color they earned on our reinforcement chart.  Look for a paper in their folder that describes the different colors.
